Well, yes, I can afford to pay my own subscription. If I wanted to, I could get rid of the ads. And no, I'm not on a dial-up connection, so I'm not slowed down a lot by ads like some other folks here.
But, after long thought, I was left with spending money on myself, or doing something much more valuable for others.
